Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP)
Congress has created the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP), a government program that reduces Internet service bills for eligible customers. The maximum monthly benefit under the ACP is $30 per month for households not located on qualifying Tribal lands. Eligible households residing on Tribal lands will receive $75 monthly. The ACP discount is available on any Internet service offering and subscribers may switch service offerings at any time (where other offerings are available). You can get ACP-supported Internet service from any participating provider you choose.

Mid-Rivers Communications has been approved as a participating service provider in the Federal Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP). The ACP provides a discount of up to $30 per month on internet services for eligible households. Households on qualifying Tribal lands can receive an enhanced discount of up to $75 per month.
If you receive free Internet under the ACP, you must use your services during a given monthly billing period to remain eligible. We are required to suspend benefits for free services that were not used during the previous 30 days.
The ACP benefit is limited to one monthly service discount per household. Connection charges and deposits will be waived for new connections for all eligible ACP households. Mid-Rivers does not charge modem/router fees. This equipment is included with your service, along with unlimited remote Managed Wi-Fi support.
Participating households may obtain broadband service supported by the ACP from any participating provider of their choice and may transfer their ACP program benefit to another provider at any time.
Who is Eligible?
Eligibility is determined by the federal government based on income level, eligibility for other Federal programs such as WIC, or other factors. For the complete list of eligibility criteria, please visit GetInternet.gov.
How Do I Apply?
Households that are already enrolled in the Lifeline telecommunications discount program are automatically eligible for the ACP, but you still need to contact your internet provider to opt in to the ACP benefit. Lifeline provides up to $9.25 per month to eligible households toward Internet or qualifying bundled Internet and telephone services. Eligible households may receive both the Lifeline and the ACP benefits.
Households not currently enrolled in the Lifeline program should go to NV.FCC.gov (the Lifeline National Verifier) to review specific eligibility information and submit an application for both programs. You must use the National Verifier to apply for Lifeline and/or ACP benefits. We cannot verify your eligibility or enroll you. We recommend applying for both programs. Please note that even if you are not eligible for Lifeline, you may still be eligible for ACP.
AFTER you qualify through the National Verifier for one or both programs, then you must notify your participating internet service provider to opt in to the Lifeline and/or ACP benefit. If we do not hear from you with an affirmative opt in, we cannot apply discounts to your bill.
Eligible households should contact Mid-Rivers at at 1-800-452-2288, customerservice@midrivers.coop, or chat with a representative at www.midrivers.com to request that your benefits be applied to your Mid-Rivers bill. The benefits are available to eligible new, prior and existing customers of participating providers.
Can I Get Both the Lifeline & ACP Discounts?
Customers eligible for both programs can receive both benefits, but the total discount cannot exceed your internet charges. The ACP benefit amount may be reduced to meet this requirement. The ACP benefit will be UP TO $30 (or $75 on qualifying Tribal Lands) per month, but cannot be more than your actual internet bill (plus your Lifeline internet credit if applicable).
Is My Internet Plan Eligible?
The ACP discount is available on any Internet service offering and subscribers may switch service offerings at any time (where other offerings are available). Service Bundles with Cable TV are NOT eligible; customers with bundles including TV will need to unbundle to be eligible for the ACP. You can apply the ACP benefit to our Internet service offering at the same terms available to households that are not eligible for ACP.
When Do I Get My Benefit?
Your first ACP credit will appear on the following months’ statement after you have enrolled and opted into the ACP discount with Mid-Rivers, or for new Internet customers with ACP the month after your services are installed. Our statements reflect activity through the 20th of the previous month. If you are enrolled and opt in on May 12, your first ACP Credit will appear on your June bill. If you request new service that is installed May 20 or later, or you enroll and opt in on May 20 or later, your first credit will not appear until at least your July bill. Please note that we may disconnect your ACP-supported service after 90 consecutive days of non-payment (beginning on the due date of the bill). If the ACP program ends, if you transfer your ACP benefit to another provider without disconnecting our Internet service, or if you are de-enrolled from the ACP program by the government, you will be subject to our undiscounted rates and general terms and conditions.
