Education Technology Grants Awarded

Mid-Rivers Communications is proud to announce the recipients of its 2025 Education Technology Grants.  Grants are awarded to educational and non-profit entities with an educational mission to benefit members and customers in the Mid-Rivers service area.  Montana law requires that the cooperative’s Fund for Education, funded with unclaimed capital credit dollars, be used for educational purposes.

Grants were awarded to 21 applicants totaling $85,000.

• $6,000 to Baker High School to support the continuation of the PHAGES program.
• $3,000 to the Boys & Girls Club of Richland County to aid in the purchase of a mobile interactive screen.
• $5,000 to Circle Public Schools in support of their one-to-one laptop program.
• $1,500 to Custer County District High School for the purchase of a Glowforge to be used by the STEM Club.
• $3,000 to Dawson County High School for the purchase of improved audio equipment for the Video-Media Class.
• $3,000 to Fairview High School for the purchase of video equipment for use in the Movies as Literature course.
• $7,000 to the Fallon County Library to aid in the upgrade of their public computer lab.
• $2,500 to the George McCone Memorial County Library in Circle to purchase updated robotics learning materials.
• $6,000 to Glendive Public Schools for the purchase of assistive technologies for the special education classroom.
• $3,000 to Lavina School for the purchase of a SMARTBoard.
• $5,000 to the Little Sprouts and Harvest Academy to purchase new computers to aid in student learning.
• $2,000 to the Miles City Public Library for mobile charging units and a public use laptop.
• $6,000 to Plevna School District to aid in District-wide technology update efforts.
• $1,600 to Prairie View Special Services for a large screen TV to be used in providing services and training to constituent schools.
• $6,000 to Rau Elementary School in Sidney to support the school’s one-to-one Chromebook initiative.
• $5,000 to Richey Public Schools to purchase Chromebooks for elementary students.
• $5,000 to Ryegate Public Schools for the purchase of SMARTBoards.
• $2,000 to Sacred Heart School in Miles City for technology to be used in the art classroom.
• $5,200 to Savage Public School for the purchase of a heat press and Cricut to be used in a student-led business.
• $5,000 to Washington Middle School in Miles City for the purchase of Chromebooks to be used in the Career & Tech Education classrooms.
• $2,200 to Wibaux Public Schools to aid in the purchase of a large format printer to facilitate STEM & CTE learning.

Rural schools and other educational entities often feel the connectivity gap due to limited funding sources.  Mid-Rivers is pleased to be able to offer these 2025 Education Technology Grants to assist in addressing those needs.
