$2.2 Million Paid Back to Mid-Rivers Patrons
Latest News
Mid-Rivers Telephone Cooperative, Inc. recently returned $2,216,232.28 in 2026 capital credit retirements to patrons, representing portions of the 1997, 1998, and 2025 patronage allocations. Capital credits are retired and paid only when the cooperative’s financial condition allows, as determined by the Board of Trustees. This year’s payout reflects the cooperative’s strong financial position and ongoing commitment to returning value to patrons.
Patrons with active accounts can expect to see their credits applied directly on their September statements, making it possible for every dollar of the retirement to be returned to patrons. Details about your allocation will appear on your statement. Inactive patrons should keep an eye out for a check in their mailbox, which will be mailed on August 20, 2026.
As a cooperative, owned and democratically controlled by its members, Mid-Rivers is proud to return profits back to those who make our communities strong. Through both “first-in, first-out” and percentage distribution methods, both new and past patrons receive their share of benefits from participating in the cooperative. Including the 2026 payout, Mid-Rivers has returned more than $62 million in capital credits to its patrons.
